There is no need for you to worry about REACH – we'll take care of it for you.

EU chemicals regulation REACH (EC) no. 1907/2006

In terms of REACH, Festool is only a downstream user. This means that we, as a tool manufacturer, are not directly affected by the registration requirements of this regulation. Nonetheless, we have informed all of our suppliers about REACH and have asked them to meet their resulting obligations, including the registration requirements.

The candidate list published by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is updated regularly.

All product manufacturers are obligated to declare substances from the candidate list that are included in their products with a concentration of more than 0.1 percent by mass and to comply with banned substances lists. We comply with this requirement, of course.

Festool – REACH – Candidate list

Our products, which contain substances from the candidate list in a concentration of more than 0.1 percent by mass, are named in a list.
We update this list regularly, as soon as new substances are added to the candidate list. We endeavour to substitute the listed candidate substances as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions, please contact our environmental management department:
We meet the obligations of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act and the Hazardous Substances Act, i.e. implementation of EU Directives WEEE2 and RoHS2.

Our devices are marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol. This symbol means that the old devices cannot be disposed of with household waste, but must be disposed of at a public collection site, a specialist dealer or the Festool after-sales service.
