When compactness becomes a strength

The new ERSC 18 one-handed cordless reciprocating saw from Festool

With the ERSC 18, Festool is launching a one-handed cordless sabre saw that combines robustness with an exceptionally compact design. It is quick to hand, easy to control and ready to make powerful cuts in a wide variety of materials. The combination of sophisticated engineering, ergonomic design and Festool’s system logic makes it a versatile tool for professional use.

The focus of the design was on ease of use for quick cuts. The well-balanced design allows for intuitive handling – even in tight, awkward spaces. An integrated LED light ensures a clear view of the cutting area, whilst the infinitely variable trigger switch allows for precise control. The ERSC 18 really comes into its own thanks to its versatility: with the right Festool saw blades, it can handle wood, metal, abrasive materials and even insulation. A saw blade that can be rotated through 180 degrees enables close-to-the-surface cutting on walls, floors and ceilings. Flexible saw blades further expand the range of applications. The tool-free extraction system helps to keep dust levels low. The robust construction and the EC-TEC motor ensure reliable performance in the tough conditions of everyday construction site work. A scaffolding hook allows for secure suspension, whilst the start lock prevents accidental start-up. Fully compatible with the Festool 18-volt system, the saw benefits from a long battery life and Bluetooth functionality for automatic dust extractor activation. Weighing just 1.9 kg, with a stroke length of 25.4 mm and up to 3,000 strokes per minute, the ERSC 18 offers mobility and power in a compact tool – designed for professional requirements where reliability and efficiency are paramount. Available from 7 September 2026 in specialist shops and online.
