To mark its 100th anniversary, Festool is once again setting new standards in professional woodworking. With the new DFC 500 cordless joining machine, the premium manufacturer is expanding its proven DOMINO system with a cordless version that combines maximum precision, maximum flexibility and uncompromising mobility. Both new DOMINO joining machines - the DFC 500 cordless version and the DF 500 R mains version - will be available from specialist dealers from September 2025 and will impress with their advanced guide frame and innovative stop system.

Festool has further developed its tried-and-tested DOMINO joining machine and equipped it with a new guide frame. This has a stable double column guide, a practical turn-tilt quick-release lever and an innovative stop system. The new frame offers more flexibility and provides additional stability thanks to the robust column guide. The stop system enables precise positioning of the joining machine - four lockable stop pins eliminate the need for tedious measuring and marking.

Wireless precision - the new freedom of connectivity 

The DFC 500 is based on the successful concept of the previous corded DF 500, but Festool has consistently developed it further for mobile use. Equipped with a powerful 18-volt battery, it enables independent working - ideal for construction sites or workshops with flexible workplaces. In combination with a cordless vacuum cleaner, completely cordless working is even possible.

DOMINO - not flat, not round, but unique 

Both joining machines cut DOMINO dowels with a precise fit or with play. Their unique oval shape makes them extremely stable and torsion-resistant from the very first dowel. They combine the precision of round dowels with the flexibility of flat dowels and are available in various sizes for filigree to solid workpieces.

Unique pendulum milling principle for precise results

A key feature of the DOMINO joining machines is the proven and unique pendulum milling principle: a combination of rotary and pendulum motion. This technology not only ensures precise results, but also a long service life for the milling cutters thanks to reduced heat development. The result: clean and precise joints for every application.

Ergonomic, efficient, simple

The ergonomically shaped spade handle with soft grip enables fatigue-free operation. 
Work - even for longer applications. Four integrated stop pins ensure fast and precise positioning of the joining machine without the need for time-consuming marking. This means that groups of dowels can also be set efficiently and with repeat accuracy.

Versatile system accessories 

The DOMINO system offers dowels in various sizes (4x20 mm to 10x50 mm) and two types of wood for indoor and outdoor applications. It is complemented by an extensive range of accessories such as round and moulding stops as well as detachable connection fittings - ideal for furniture, cabinet, interior and exhibition stand construction. The DFC 500 is part of the Festool 18V system and impresses with a weight of just 3.4 kilograms.
