Supplier-Award 2024

Festool / TTS Group celebrates successful Supplier Day – Focus on innovation, digitalisation and sustainability

Under the motto ‘The Power of We’, the Festool / TTS Group brought together around 300 guests from the national and international supplier landscape for this year's Supplier Day in Weilheim. The event offered both a review of the past financial year and insights into the company's strategic direction.

To kick things off, CEO Sascha Menges emphasised the importance of partnership-based cooperation, innovative strength and the willingness to boldly shape change on the occasion of Festool's 100th anniversary. ‘Our success is based on close cooperation with our suppliers and a shared commitment to excellence,’ said Menges.

Michaela Hammer, Head of Operations, presented the TTS Group's growth successes. Despite global challenges, the market position has been further strengthened, particularly in the USA. At the same time, the company is investing in new production facilities and logistics solutions in order to combine ‘Made in Germany’ quality with a global presence. Sales Manager Jens Graner gave an overview of current market trends and showed how innovative products and a stronger customer focus are opening up new opportunities.

A central theme of the day was the TTS Group's sustainability strategy. Anastasia Markemann explained the ambitious goals: By 2030, Scope 3.1 emissions from suppliers are to be reduced by 25 percent, and by 90 percent by 2050. Digitalisation and artificial intelligence will be used in a targeted manner to make processes along the entire supply chain more efficient and sustainable. CTO Wolfgang Knorr presented the plans for the further development of AI-supported production and planning processes.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of the 2024 Supplier Awards in eight categories. The company honoured suppliers who demonstrated outstanding performance through innovation, quality and partnership-based commitment. The award winners include Meffle GmbH for sustainability, Hera GmbH in the field of plastics, Bossert GmbH for die-cast parts, Honecker GmbH for mechanical parts, Maier GmbH for electronic parts, Tecan Malaysia as the best Asian supplier, Leuco Ledermann GmbH & Co. KG for performance – OEM/ODM (accessories/machines) and Kohlhammer GmbH in indirect purchasing – marketing/printing materials.

Jochen Mann, responsible for the Supplier Awards, emphasised the importance of suppliers: ‘They are development partners, drivers of innovation and co-creators of our future.’ The Supplier Day clearly demonstrated how important partnership-based cooperation, quality, sustainability and innovation are for the TTS Group and its partners, and how these values will be carried forward into the future together.
