Single-bearing planing head for working right up to the edge and to unlimited rebating depths without rework.
HL 850 EB-Plus
Planing often has to be reworked by hand, but not with the HL 850, which provides a clever solution: The planing head lies flush with the housing, which means that the full rebate width can be planed.
The HL 850 works with a pulling cut for a particularly accurate planing result. No chatter marks, no reworking. This is made possible by the spiral blade, which works at an incline and planes the wood in a way that is gentle on both the material and the tool.
You will notice the sophisticated ergonomics and quality engineering of the HL 850 as soon as you pick it up. All control elements are easy to reach without changing your hand position.
Loosen three screws, replace the blade, tighten back up and you're done! The blade is adjusted automatically.
Fine, coarse or rustic: Festool offers three special planing heads for wooden surfaces with an individual texture. The planing head can be changed in an instant for texturing purposes. All three rustic planing heads produce excellent results.
The infinitely adjustable cutting depth is a valuable feature in practice. You can use the rotating handle to accurately adjust the cutting depth, while carrying out your work.
